About Brother Dok of Joseph
Doc Joseph de Guzman II started his career as a veterinarian at Animal Station Veterinary Clinic in 2009.
He graduated from Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation and practiced veterinary medicine for several years after graduation. He established and owned several veterinary clinics and was awarded by Golden Globe Annual
in 2018 awarded Blessed Veterinary Clinic as the “Top Choice 24 Hours Veterinary Services Provider (National).” He then founded VetAid Distribution on August 23, 2016.
He is an active member of several organizations like Alpha Kappa Rho Fraternity, Venerable Knight Veterinarians Fraternity, Philippine Animal Hospital Association, and Philippine Veterinary Medical Association. He was the appointed Interim National Council Grand Skeptron of Alpha Kappa Rho Fraternity around the world from 2017 to 2018 and was then elected as Luzon Grand Skeptron in 2018 and won again, as Luzon Grand Skeptron in May 2021 to present.
He has a big heart for animals, a philanthropist. He is also the founder and president of Ang Animal Ko Protekdo (ANGKOP), a non-profit, non-governmental organization that promotes animal welfare. As a veterinarian, he has treated numerous cats and dogs, victims of cruelty and abandonment so his compassion and care for the animals became deeper. He felt that treating them and providing for their medical and nutritional needs were not enough. Through ANGKOP, he was able to provide assistance to animals, animal health providers, and animal lovers in need. ANGKOP has been making significant contributions and assistance for animal and humanitarian missions by coordinating with animal shelters, communities (thru LGUs or Barangays), independent rescuers, and organizations. He and his team are actively rescuing animals from cruelty/ abandonment, organizing pet adoption, providing free anti-rabies vaccines, free spay and neuter services, and distributing food/rice packs or by organizing community pantries to communities due to the pandemic or due to calamities.
Doc Joseph shares his blessings and success in any way possible. He strongly believes that one’s capability to help others is one of God’s greatest gifts. It means that God has granted him and everyone around with a healthier and better life. God has granted him the capacity to help and to share. God listens to his prayers to be the one giving help instead of the one seeking for help.
